I study development economics, with a focus on using real-world evidence to design and scale policies that work in addressing poverty and inequality. My policy and research interests include malnutrition, public finance, social protection, mobility, and economic history.

I’ve worked across government, civil society, and the academe, and now pursue deeper research and policy learning through my Master’s in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

This website is a home for my current thinking, talks, working papers, and reflections on faith and public policy.

Hi, I’m Lyonel!
